About
A garage-door trade that talks about metal, because this city always has.
Foundry is a Newcastle garage-door business built on one plain idea: a garage door is the single largest piece of moving steel bolted to a house, so it deserves someone who reads metal, tension and true tracks, not a call-centre and a stock answer.

Why "Foundry"
Named for what Newcastle does.
Newcastle spent a century casting, rolling and welding steel: the works, the port, a town of makers. It's in the bones of the place. A garage door lives or dies on exactly the things a foundry cares about: sound metal, true tracks, and tension held right.
So that's the whole promise. We name the parts properly (torsion spring, lift cable, roller, track, the opener), we get the balance right, and we don't wave off a snapped spring as "a bit of a fault". It's a piece of steel under load, and it gets treated like one. Measured, not glossy. We'll have it running true.
How we work
Straight up, so you know what you're getting.
The form is the channel
There's no number to ring around. You tell us what's going on through the form and it comes straight to us, we come back to line up a call-out or a measure. It means nothing gets lost, and you're not on hold while a door hangs off its track.
Every price is on site
We don't post prices, because the honest answer is "it depends on the door". Faults are a call-out then on-site pricing; new doors are measure-and-quote to a fixed number once we've seen it. No "from $" bait.
The right trade for each part
Mechanical work (springs, cables, tracks, balance) is done by a qualified garage-door technician. Any opener mains-wiring is licensed-electrical work and done by a licensed electrician. We don't blur that line.
Brands described honestly
We work on most major Australian door and opener brands and can colour-match Colorbond to your roof. We describe that plainly, we don't wear "authorised dealer" badges we haven't earned, and a colour match is an offer, not a guarantee.
Where we work
The detached-house suburbs, coast to bush.
We cover Newcastle's detached-house suburbs, where the garages are, from the salt edge at Stockton and Merewether, through the established inner ring around Mayfield and New Lambton, out to the western estates at Fletcher and Cameron Park.
See the areasNot a lifestyle brand
We're here to get your door working and to fit good doors that last. Everything on this site points at one thing: making it easy to tell us what you need.
Honest by default
No invented reviews, no made-up years-in-business, no fake ratings. When there's something we can't promise, we say so. That's the whole trust model.
Tell us what the door's doing
Send it through and we'll sort the right fix.
Repair, opener, service or a new door, describe it in your own words and we'll come back to line up a call-out or a free measure & quote. No number to ring around; the form comes straight to us.
Not sure which? Run the Tension Check and it'll point you the right way.
